Your questions on “Arab Spring & the Role of Turkey” event

I’m delighted to be hosting a conference entitled “Arab Spring and the Role of Turkey” at the House of Commons on Wednesday 24th of October. Please write to me your questions about this topic so I can put them forward to the three speakers Professor Tariq Ramadan, Ziya Meral, and Nadim Shehadi.

You can send me your questions by commenting to this post or filling out the form.

  1. Why are countries like Turkey,Qatar,Saudi Arabia providing arms to the rebels fighting against Bashar Assads forces? This is causing the destruction of yet another Muslim country. Can these countries be classed as friends of Syria ?

  2. Why nothing inside the arab world really changed … but bilateral relations changed! Is there any fear for the raise of the arabs ??

  3. are you Agree to marry me Please reply, I am since you shine on Al-Jazeera and I love you and I do not know how can i reach to you

  4. Aslam-o-Alaikum,, how r u kristiane ? I want to ask you that how can I buy your book ‘from mtv to mecca’ herein Pakistan ?

  5. Professor Ramadan has suggested in his latest book that the US was involved behind the scenes in instigating
The Arab Spring. Assuming that allegation is correct,
why now? The US supported regional dictators for fifty years. What recent changes in the economic and geo-political landscape have, in his opinion, suddenly made the establishment of democracies important to the US?

  6. In the light of “assurances” from US (Secratary Clinton) – does the panel think that democracy and change for the better can possibly be relied upon from outside? If so to what extent, and what do local politicians/citizens need to act upon first?
